Connect Steam
AppWatch finds your games from your developer name or from their App IDs. No API key is needed to start.
Step by step
Open one of your games on Steam
Go to the store page of any of your games. The address looks like store.steampowered.com/app/1234567/Your_Game/.
Get your developer name
On that page, under the game description, read the line "Developer". That is the name AppWatch needs, spelled exactly the same.
To double-check how it is written, search your game on steamdb.info and look at the "Developer" field.
Or use the App ID
The App ID is the number in the store address (1234567 in the example). Use it if the developer name finds nothing, or if you only want some games. You can enter several IDs separated by commas.
Enter it in AppWatch
On the web: Settings โ Steam. In the app: connect store โ Steam. Type the developer name (or the App IDs) and save.
Your games and first data appear within a minute.
Optional: add sales and wishlists
If you want revenue and wishlist data, create a Publisher Web API key in Steamworks (partner.steamgames.com โ Users & Permissions โ Manage Groups, with the Partner API permission) and paste it in Settings โ Steam.
You do not need this to track players, reviews, price and updates.
Frequently asked questions
โถAppWatch found 0 games.
The developer name must match Steam exactly (capital letters, spaces, symbols). If it still finds nothing, use the App ID of your game instead.
โถDo I need a Steamworks account?
No. Developer name or App IDs are enough to follow public data. The Publisher key is only for sales and wishlists.
โถI have several studios or publishers.
Use App IDs and list every game you want to follow, separated by commas.
